I did not start a tutoring business. I answered a calling. My daughter was diagnosed with a learning disability at three, and we were handed a list of limitations and told what she might never achieve. As the years passed, she continued to fall further behind academically. I refused to accept that as her future.
By faith, I withdrew my entire 401(k) and invested it in the one thing that mattered most, my daughter. I homeschooled her full-time and watched her go from years behind to academically ahead. Today, through God’s healing and our courage to pursue a different path, she is thriving and no longer carries a diagnosis.
That journey showed me how God uniquely designs each child to learn, and it became the foundation behind Real Joyful. The passion I carry for your child is far deeper than a job. It was forged through sacrifice, faith, and the belief that every child deserves to be seen, understood, and taught according to how God designed them to learn.
I am Sasha Gooray, a Christian, faith-driven, Holy Spirit-led academic coach and tutor. My work is to transform young learners into confident, successful individuals who know their identity in Christ. Through a dynamic blend of personalized academic instruction with social and life skills based on biblical principles, I make learning an exciting journey of growth and discovery for your child.
Inspired by Ephesians 4:22-24, which calls us to put off our old self, be renewed in the spirit of our minds, and put on our new self, we are gifted in fostering a love for learning that propels children toward self-confidence, self-advocacy, and success in every arena of life. To promote self-advocacy and make online learning organized and engaging, we use tools like visual timers and a unique progress board. We also encourage students to select the order of activities, incorporate movement, and learn through real-world challenges. Beyond one-on-one sessions, Sasha shares what she is learning and teaching with a wider parenting community. She writes a biweekly newsletter and posts testimonies, tips, and motivation on YouTube that you can use today, even if your child is not enrolled with us.
