Unmasked Learning

Writing for parents who desire to lead their families.

Every other week, Sasha publishes a new essay on Christian parenting, neurodivergent learning, and what it looks like to raise children in their God-given identity. Subscribe free to get it in your inbox.

What you will find inside.

Unmasked Learning is about removing the layers that keep children from learning freely. Performance pressure. Comparison. The quiet belief that struggle means deficiency. Each essay names one of those layers and walks you through what to do about it as a parent who loves Jesus and your children.

The essays are honest reflections on parenting, pressure, discipline, burnout, and raising children differently. Holy Spirit-led, with no fixed weekly theme. Recent themes include:

  • Identity over performance: what it means to root your child in who they are, not what they produce
  • The masks children wear: reading behavior as a signal, not a problem
  • Neurodivergence and faith: it is how God heals. God wired your child on purpose. It is not a diagnosis, it is the real them underneath.
  • Parenting from rest: leading your family from peace rather than panic
  • Speaking life: the words that shape your child’s identity

Why a Substack and not a blog?

Substack is where readers actually get the writing. Newsletter delivery, no algorithm in the way. You subscribe once and the essay arrives in your inbox. We mirror posts here when it makes sense, but the home for the writing is Substack so the writer-reader relationship stays direct.

If you would rather not subscribe, you can read every essay on the public Substack page any time.

The newsletter is one front door. Tutoring is another.

Whether your child is enrolled with us or not, you are welcome here. If you ever desire to talk about your specific child, the free 50-minute discovery session is the door.
